A unique opportunity to take over the reins of an existing business

As a Partner within the Clitheroe Agency, you’ll have the opportunity to run and develop an established and successful insurance business. Working with a Business Partner and benefiting from a highly experienced team that’s already in place, you’ll manage your own business, building on the solid foundation and success of the agency, driving growth across both agricultural and commercial markets.

This highly respected and well-known business is deeply rooted within the local rural community and has a team that puts customers at the heart of everything they do. It’s what the agency’s strong reputation and loyal customer base have been built on and your role will focus on developing this, nurturing existing customer relationships, and creating new ones.

Leading from the front, your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around motivating, supporting, and developing your team to consistently deliver excellent results, whilst you deliver your own personal sales performance, providing a valuable contribution to the business achieving its targets.

As well as this, you will be working with a large, supportive, loyal and active NFU branch in the agricultural market, where you’ll find plenty of growth potential and will further strengthen the bond and elevate your standing in the local community.

An excellent communicator, you’re great with people from a wide range of backgrounds and can easily spot opportunities and develop new business. A strong and professional leader, you’re a confident influencer who’s used to motivating a team. Collaborative, positive, and supportive, you also know how to recruit, reward, and develop a strong team to help you achieve your ambitions whilst ensuring all relevant regulations and standards of compliance are met.

You may have knowledge of insurance or finance, but as our existing Partners (Agents) come from a broad range of backgrounds, it’s more important that you know how to use your entrepreneurial flair and clear vision to grow your business.

NFU Senior Group Secretary

The National Farmers Union (NFU) represents the voice of agriculture up to the highest levels, on both national and international platforms. For more than 110 years, the NFU and NFU Mutual have enjoyed a close relationship, working together to provide a first-class service to the farming and wider rural community.

As part of your remit, you’ll also act as an NFU Senior Group Secretary and play a major role at the heart of your local farming community, championing the interests of local farmers, arranging local meetings and events, recruiting and retaining members, and keeping them up-to-date on agricultural policy. With full backing from the NFU, you’ll have access to expert advice and specialist support on everything from policy and increasing membership to marketing and media.

Combining your duties as an NFU Senior Group Secretary with your work as Partner/Agent of the NFU Mutual agency in Clitheroe gives you the chance to make the most of any new opportunities for your business and promote your proposition to a wider audience. The two roles are intrinsically linked.

Working on a self-employed basis, you’ll have a 1st year estimated OTE of up to £60k with genuine prospects for growth, where your drive, vision, and personal ambition are the only limits to your future earning potential.
